Here’s how it works: Over 45 people will sign up to be writers, directors, actors, film-makers and stage crew. The night before the show, a theme is picked at random and the writers have 12 hours to write a 5-10 page script. Writers also receive instructions on number of characters and gender. In the morning, scripts are randomly assigned to teams made of 1 director and 2-3 actors. A technical team works with the director to create simple lighting and sound effects, gather props and costumes and coordinate makeup and hair. Meanwhile a film crew is documenting and editing footage of all the behind the scenes action. The teams workshop the scripts all day in preparation for a live performance onstage!

The Future

Networking with other arts groups will continue to be an important part of our success. Currently we are searching for a more
concrete home base to use as a launching pad for future projects. Ideally this home-base would serve as both office and rehearsal space. To achieve this we are planning several fundraisers. Our vision is to present new performance art locally, nationally, and eventually internationally.

        Inspiracy Arts Inc. is dedicated to inspire, promote, and produce new works of performing and media arts. Formed officially
March of 2009, Inspiracy Arts Inc. has produced 10 theatrical events including The Central Valley Playwrights Festival 2009 & 2010, The 24 Hour Play-Fest Series, and Rasputin: A Love Story. We have performed at venues such as: The Little Theater at Modesto Jr. College, The Little Opera Hall of Modesto, The St. Clair Theater of Modesto,  The State Theatre of Modesto, The Riverbank Shakespeare Festival, The Performance Annex of Tracy California and the Westside Theater of Newman, California.

Inspiracy Arts is ecstatic to announce the 2nd Annual Central Valley Playwright’s Festival! We will present four new one-act plays written and performed by local artists. This production will explore the corners of the human mind and many strange characters along the way. The Central Valley Playwright’s Festival will kick off March 10th and will run for a total of 8 performances through March 20th 2011 at the beautiful new St. Clair Theater in Downtown Modesto, California.
